I can criticize that jackass all I want. I get being upset about the people celebrating his death, but that is worlds apart from merely criticizing the man.
For the right, everything is about violence. They advocate and perpetuate violence, but they do it because they believe you to be violent, because they have been told so repeatedly. And so they attack you and oppress you and strip you of rights, and this violence against you is justified because they are “good people” and you are “bad people.”
So when you criticize their fallen hero, who died for free speech, then you are no longer engaging in speech or valid criticism, but violence. You see, it proves what they already know to be true, you are violent, depraved, and an enemy of freedom and goodness. And so their escalating violence against you continues to be justified.
And today, because the fascists hold nearly absolute power, any and every employer will cowtow because they are afraid of the campaign of terrorism that will follow if they do not. And so we sink deeper into depraved, inescapable, eternal fascism.
