Frankly, I think this kind of CSI “zoom and enhance!” analysis is kind of silly generally speaking. Does it matter if these images are AI generated? Does Will Smith matter?
Maybe this is AI-generated. Could be. Maybe it’s real, could also be. None of the “defects” seem particularly egregious. But at the end of the day I don’t see how it’s going to change anything of any significance either way.

Emphasis added. That’s a pretty big bit of weasel-wording there, the world “as we know it” has changed drastically in the past 25 years. Things that we thought were indispensable to the proper functioning of the world order - such as, for example, the lack of a pudding-brained pedophillic fascist in the White House - are no longer operative. Yet we’re muddling along well enough, all things considered.
Things are rapidly changing in so many ways right now. Projecting that far forward with any confidence is a bit of a fool’s errand.

Yeah, over a long enough timescale every country’s relations have their ups and downs. Recent generations have been quite close, though - Canada spent a lot of military lives supporting America’s misadventure in Afghanistan, for example. So it’s still quite the massive stab in the back as far as the currently living Canadians are concerned.
