    Stephen Hawking’s Area-theorem directly contradicts Stephen Hawking’s Hawking-Radiation evaporating black-holes.

EITHER they only get bigger, XOR they evaporate through Hawking radiation.

You can’t have it both ways!

( the entropy law, that they can only grow, also is contradicted by Hawking radiation … this bit from lower-down in the article. )

Scientists Just Proved Provided More Evidence For Einstein and Hawking and Other’s Right About Theories About Black Holes

People wonder why USA is full of scientific illiterates while “scientific” publications push pseudo-scientific headlines.

(Not especially mad at popular mechanics though. They’re better than most. Just sick of this BS everywhere.)

US press still calls evolution a “theory”, while labs use it every day to select compounds and proteins with any traits they want. But the good news is that funding was all cut.

What pisses me off most about the “evolution is only a ‘theory’!” machiavellianism/gaslighting, is that it’s calling all farmers who breed their own crops or animals liars , and the farmers are every bit as rural as the Republican-strongholds warring against education of considered-reasoning, scientific-method, etc.

IF selection, natural or intentionally-induced, didn’t alter the resultant-population,

THEN farmers wouldn’t have any reason to invest in doing it!

        2-facedness/gaslighting seems to be a hard-limit, for me…

It’s always a bit unsettling thinking about the fact that these object are so massive that their collisions send ripples of spacetime that are detectable galaxies away.

The base of the Fermi Paradox is that the human brain simply cannot comprehend how far away a light year is.
