  • As a restauraunt they are “ok”.

Their unique draw is as an “experience”, a folksy old-fashioned restaurant and country store. Chasing the modern minimalist design sentiment is a troubling sign of forfeiting their marketing advantage over an otherwise crowded market of other generic restaurants.

Now if that ‘old-fashioned’ was failing and the restauraunts were just a place where a few senior citizens go but is mostly a ghost town, I could see an urgency. Like last time I went to a K&W, you just had like a dozen people, with a surprisingly high number of people toting around some medical equipment. However, in my experience Cracker Barrel has been pretty busy still.

  • Cracker Barrel did a modern rebrand including a more minimalist logo with just the words on a plan background, removing the chair, man, and barrel.

Which was stupid, showing they don’t understand their folksy, old fashioned appeal, however conservatives have lost their damn mind, claiming that cracker barrel went “woke”. Guess if they don’t like it, then it has to be “woke”

I did bring myself to watch one conservative person that seemed all in on the too woke message. Then went inside and admitted they couldn’t see how it was “woke” (i.e. the wait staff they met were all white).

  • So there’s a relatively miniscule fraction of people who have unexpected outcomes that you wouldn’t expect based on their genetics, e.g due to some unexpected hormonal activity during fetal development.

For almost every birth, the biological concept of sex is a straightforward conclusion from genetics, so, by and large, a genetic test is accurate. But there have been cases that never got genetic tests and from all assessments were biologically female, but find out later they had XY. Maybe because they never hit puberty, or while trying to diagnose infertility, but something drove a deeper look.
