The family of a Wisconsin man and local chapters of the NAACP are seeking answers after Tory Medley was found hanging to death from a tree on a golf course in Brookfield.

It’s crazy how when a black man wants to commit suicide, it’s usually by hanging in a public place. Most people do it at home and leave a note. And with most people there’s a history of mental illness too.

Ok, here is a question I am wondering about: was this person even living in that compound? Was there even a reason why he would be, of all places, at a golf course in this compound?
But even then, this REEKS like a lynching anyway. It’s splitting hairs a bit if the perpetrators dragged him into their compound or just took a black neighbour living there. In the end they show that this place is dangerous for POCs and that they should stay away. Which likely is what they intended in the first place.
I would also suspect the local police are into it as well, and they’ll declare it a suicide after “watching” all the footage.
It’s impressive how deeply I needed to read for them to mention that he was black (not until quoting the NAACP). For shame.

Medley’s phone, his I.D. and his red backpack weren’t found on him and they weren’t at his apartment, Shena said. His backpack was later found at Brookfield Square, but his phone and I.D. are still missing, she said.
