I understand that running services costs money, and I’ve heard nothing but good things about Kagi. Can anyone here convince me it’s worth the price?

Something I’ve been realizing lately is that fascism’s whole deal is adopting the appearances of trustworthy institutions like universities, activism and TV news (and apparently scientific papers) but the goal isn’t to inform it’s to persuade. All the bullshit ultimately leads to the same path.

Weird they would go through with spending a billion on this after banning “fossil fuel equipment” in all new construction recently. I wonder if the old pipelines were in bad shape or something?

John Oliver did a deep dive into her recently. It’s not good. She brands herself as a moderate but is essentially in lockstep with most MAGA views. The owners of CBS are gutting everything that’s left of the storied CBS brand to enrich themselves.

I’ve been impressed with F-Droid’s press releases. If they have a snowball’s chance in hell of stopping this, they are certainly giving it a clear and concise effort.

When billionaires complain about how windmills “ruin the view” but then are quiet about oil rigs, you can tell that it’s not about the view.

Sometimes I am still amazed that street safety managed to become another culture war issue.
