What the fuck are you even supposed to say at that point? It’s not like condolences will bring her back. Fuck man.

Then you want to create a future that does not serve you. If my family tries to sell me dishsoap, I will stop them. If someone wants to push AI ads, I will block them. There is no known mechanism they have to force me to watch ads.

And it’s not like they’re gonna stop them anyways.

There’s few things you can’t stop. Arson is one. Give me two sticks, some plants and some time and I’ll make you a nolotov cocktail.

Sure, you’re still the richest. But by taking material from lower floors to build a higher skyscraper, you’re starting to get unstable.

If by normal you average, they don’t even really need 16gb.
Creative work can gobble up ram, heavy ass multitasking does as well.
So it’s more in the digitally productive professional or hobbyist cases where you need such amounts as a person.
For development high amounts of rams can be useful for all sorts of stuff, it’s not just compiling, but also testing, though 32 is often enough.

Oh, I wish that were true, but things are not this certain.

Sure hope it’s a drug against cancer.

The future is no ads.

I read the organization as “Just stop oil protesters”.

“Digital ownership must be respected.”
Yeah, that’s what this entire thing is about.

Impression: Having an opinion about something, often based on observation. Assumption: Something you accept without evidence.
Until you provide some evidence, you do not have the impression that I view this data to be useless, you have an assumption. You can most certainly have the impression that I was unkind though, as that’s based on your feeling, which you seem to base this on. Either way, impressions can still be wrong. Which it was.
I thought I was supposed to be the science naysayer here?

You know it’s funny. I’m getting called a lib by the left, which I am ironically part of and a dudebro by you, science person, of which group I am also a part of. Plant protein and animal protein having no difference in muscle development has been know forever. Studied in detail by millions of athletes on their own bodies. Your comment assumes I do not appreciate the data produced by this study, which is false.
Just because you don’t like my comment does not mean you get to define me.

Sure, though I rarely say it, this being a science based community makes that sentiment even stronger. But if you step just one toe out of the science world, then every single person that knows a penny’s worth of information about nutrition, knows that it does not matter one bit where the protein comes from. There may be differences in accessing it, but that’s about it. If it were another way, the first people to find would’ve been high-level bodybuilders, but there’s a decent number of vegans in that group, which are just as competitive. And yes, I know hypertrophy ≠ strength, but that’s besides the point.
My point is, this is pretty well known by now and while I find it important to be backed up, I think it is pretty evident from my like/dislike ratio, that there are two groups that interacted with my comment: Ones that think largely scientifically and ones that say “no shit” to this. And I’m not even saying either one is bad, I’m just part of the latter.

We should make an initiative where we collect donations and sends tons of maneur to theresidencies of rich people.

You’re the hopeless crisis generation.
It sucked you say?
