If Arpineh Masihi could vote, she would have cast her ballot for Donald Trump. She’s a devout supporter of the US president – even now that she’s locked up as an illegal immigrant.

“He’s doing the right thing because lots of these people don’t deserve to be here,” Arpineh told the BBC over the phone from the Adelanto immigrant detention centre in California’s Mojave Desert.

“I will support him until the day I die. He’s making America great again.”

In 2008, she was convicted of burglary and grand theft and was sentenced to two years in prison. An immigration judge revoked her Green Card, which is a common practice. But because she is a Christian Armenian Iranian, the judge allowed her to remain in the country instead of being deported.

“I don’t blame Trump, I blame Biden,” Arthur says. “It’s his doing for open borders, but I believe in the system and all the good people will be released and the ones that are bad will be sent back.”

    How stupid can one be?

A lot of people think stupidity is a virtue.

That the world where being stupid is a disadvantage is intentionally created by someone woke\bad\immoral\treacherous. That them being stupid and loyal will work well in a special system for stupid and loyal people.

When the system around is not such, they are trying to break it to get to their heaven for loyal boors. They really think such exists. That it’s morally worth it.

She is probably even more stupid than that comment. She is part of the MAGAt cult and nothing will change her mind.

Her children could be executed in front of her, and she’d still support it. This is the true TDS.

I will support him until the day I die.

I bet she would have at least a few doubts in the final moments if things go according to Stephen Miller’s plans

I know this parallel grows old but consider the followers of nazi Germany. They ran after Germany First, country prude, nationalism, etc. Were they all bad people knowingly making bad choices? Were they brainwashed or lulled into a false belief that, even if they could recognize their own cognitive dissonance, they were in too deep to turn back now?

Who knows? But the answer to me is, “yes. Yes it is a cult.” shun anyone who doesn’t belief.

There’s no reaching these freaks, Democratic party! Stop trying, and run candidates and policies that are progressive, popular, and will win elections.

These are Cipolla’s five fundamental laws of stupidity:

Always and inevitably, everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.

The probability that a certain person (will) be stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person.

A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses.

Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. In particular, non-stupid people constantly forget that at all times and places, and under any circumstances, to deal and/or associate with stupid people always turns out to be a costly mistake.

A stupid person is the most dangerous type of person.

It’s, unfortunately, very real. We’re here because millions of eligible voters just couldn’t be fucking bothered.

I am sorry but something is really wrong with people who like Trump, like seriously wrong. Will never view any of them the same ever again, I used to at least give them some benefit of the doubt. We are way past that though.

What does it take? In 2015 it took me all of 10 mins of listening to Trump to realize he is a liar and a cheat. If you can’t see that by now even, more than a decade later, something is actually most definitely wrong with you, and not saying it lightly. People need to detox from social media or disconnect from their phones or something, otherwise I dont see how you get this brainwashed. How do people make it through the day with this level of brain power?

Trump is an evil narcissist, but I don’t fault the working class for leaving the democrats and voting for him. He was promising them (falsely) progressive ideas, like bringing jobs back, fixing the healthcare system. Of course he doesn’t really care about that or will do it, but he was the only one talking about it. It always boils down to the economy though, and Biden’s economy was horrendous, people, the working class were hurting and all Kamala gave us were platitudes, no substance, no solutions to what mattered to them.
