The Trump administration is taking the fight over tariffs to the Supreme Court, asking the justices to rule quickly that the president has the power to impose sweeping import taxes under federal law.
Whatever decision the scotus makes, the damage already done is incalculable. Which was the point. Of course they want all their outlandish executive orders to just become the law, but even if challenged and struck down, the damage done by each EO is severe, and taken collectively may be permanent
