    Fingers crossed that it will.
Unfortunately it doesn’t look good IMO. It seems Americans as a people, don’t have the will to save democracy, or maybe don’t even realize it needs saving?

Lots of #3s out today. You all really are just reading from the same script. Anything but actually taking action, am I right?

I noticed you didn’t answer my question. I guess because the answer is, “absolutely nothing.”

Well, nothing other than demanding that others run into a hail of bullets while you cower from behind your keyboard lol.

Asking people from other countries to come fix the problems we’ve been warning you about for decades is a clown-ass look.

Oh, pardon me. I didn’t realize you weren’t from the US. I guess that’s my fault for assuming that someone with no skin in the game, and with no risk to themselves, wouldn’t have the gall to demand that citizens in another country should throw their lives away.

                How fucking silly of me.

So we agree that you’re just too comfortable with your life to do anything. Got it.

And- come on. How could you not realize? If I was American I’d be a huge piece of shit patting myself on the back for “having good intentions” and doing fuck all while getting really defensive and belligerent toward anyone who points out my lazy cowardice.

I think a lot of younger people voted for Trump thinking he would follow through on his promises.

It seems Ohio already is is expected to lose a seat in the next election.

Also his immigration policy has been hugely unpopular.

My dad was a big Trumper last time around. He would bring up Trump all the time. He has not said anything about him for the past few months.

So, I think the tides are changing.

In the first Trump term, did he ever intimate why he was a supporter in no uncertain terms?

An acquaintance of an acquaintance of mine, who was a MAGAt, said “it takes someone with some dirt on him to take down the dirty.” He is now against Trump due to the Epstein debacle. We were in our mid 30s then.

I’m casually interested in the reasoning process people use to convince themselves that it’s acceptable to support someone like a Donald Trump.

I forget exactly, but he never believed anything negative about Trump was true. He just assumed the media was lying. In his mind Trump could do no wrong.

Aha, I see. Thanks for sharing. I suppose I’m curious about “what broke his back” and why he’s silent about Trump now, as you’ve indicated before.

Just pure curiosity only my part; no obligation to respond at all.

I don’t know and I’m not sure he’s ready to admit he was wrong, so I’m not bringing it up. Our political debates are typically heated, so I’m enjoying the peace.

But, he works in sales with manufacturers and I think he saw how the tariffs are going to mess things up.

Then the Epstein thing compounded that, I think.
