I mean, this is what the people of Texas ultimately want.

These lawmakers didn’t fall from the sky. They were elected by the people of Texas.

Greg Abott, the powerful governor of Texas ? He was elected by the people of Texas. He is wildly popular.

Abbott won against Beto 54.76% to 43.86%. With 4,437,099 votes for Abbott, that is about 19.6% of the voting-age population in 2022. Abbott is not wildly popular and a large portion of the state hates his guts. Texas is wildly disenfranchised.

Wildly lazy. Excluding Hilary Clinton, every Democratic candidate since Obama has gotten more votes than the Republican governor just 2 years later. We can easily eject Abbott, we just can’t be bothered to try.
