The interesting thing about this one is that the assault took place last year, before the Bad Man took over. And the FBI did it’s own investigation and declined to prosecute. I haven’t been able to find info on whether that investigation happened before or after the regime change here.
No matter who happens to be in charge, they shouldn’t be going after people who they think are undocumented without any proof other than “they look foreign and talk funny”, particularly while off duty and having no more reason to beat anyone up than I do. It is a shame the Feds didn’t press charges, the State is doing the right thing.

There’s bodycam of this on YouTube. The cops were both drunk and assaulted this man while off-duty then tried to get the local cops to let them go because they were on federal task forces (DEA and ATF). Miraculously, the local cops were actually reasonable and sided with the victim here.
Why was there body cam video of the assault? Were they in uniform? While getting drunk at the bar?
