I think you are confused and are perhaps really wondering why centrists keep getting moved to the right. Both dominate political parties in the US are fascist in nature. You have the authoritarian fascists and you have the neolib fascists. Picking on the left is just a convenient scapegoat at this point. It is low hanging fruit and is pretty pointless.
