@Sunshine they returned full soviet, like in that Simpsons scene (they really predicted this one as well, haha). In my country, we also had this youth organization called the Pioneers or the Country’s Hawks (Pionierii/Șoimii Patriei) which would enroll pupils from the 2nd grade (around 8 years old basically) all the way through high-school - they were basically gaslighted into joining this organization. Beyond being vehicles for feeding propaganda, the children were used to meet the public officials when they were visiting their schools or anything in their community, as well as perform on the stadium on the national day (23rd of august). If you had to do the latter, you’d basically have all your summer vacation busy.
